Before connecting
Before connecting your properties:
Contact Expedia and ensure you have a formal agreement in place.
Register on the Expedia website and inform the sales representative that you want to connect via Avantio’s Channel Manager.
The connection will only be possible once the agreement is finalized.
After connection, Expedia will appear in your list of connected channels.
Important changes in collaboration: Spain, France, Italy, and Amsterdam
From January 3, 2022, all properties located in Spain and Amsterdam will be delisted.
Certain regions in France and selected properties in Italy will also be impacted.
What does this mean?
From this date, your listings in the affected areas will no longer be visible on Expedia.
You will not receive further bookings from these properties on the platform.
Reservations made before this date remain active on Expedia and will be managed as usual.
What actions should you take?
On January 3, ensure your affected properties are disconnected from Avantio Channel Manager/Channel PRO, as synchronization will no longer occur.
Follow the instructions provided by Expedia if you received direct communication regarding these changes.
Note:
All other markets not listed above are unaffected, and the connection will continue as normal.
Commercial information
Expedia operates on a commission-per-confirmed reservation model.
Once a reservation is confirmed, all customer information will be provided.
Notes / Considerations
Make sure your Avantio account is ready to sync with Expedia before contacting the portal.
Only properties covered by the agreement will appear in the channel manager.
