Note: This article applies only to the single rate connection. Activation steps and synchronization behavior may differ for the Content API connection.
Prerequisites
Before activating properties, ensure the following:
Have an active contract with Expedia. Check their Partner Central for more information.
Properties are manually created in Expedia, as Expedia does not import property content from Avantio.
Property information in Expedia matches the Avantio VRMS (capacity, minimum stay, etc.).
A Connectivity Enrollment Form has been completed and sent to Expedia.
You have available all the Hotel IDs of the properties already created in Expedia.
How to Activate Properties in Expedia (Single Connection)
To activate an accommodation in Avantio's Channel Manager:
Go to Channel PRO in Avantio.
Scroll down to the Channel v1.0 tab and click Activate/Deactivate Accommodations.
Select the accommodation you want to link, check the box, and click New to add the hotel ID.
Enter the Hotel ID created in Expedia.
Select the corresponding Room Type ID and Rate ID from the dropdown menus.
These values are automatically retrieved based on the Hotel ID.
Click Accept to save the configuration.
Click on Save to confirm the activation.
How to Deactivate a Property in Expedia (Single Connection)
Important!
Before deactivating the accommodation in Avantio's Channel Manager contact Expedia's support team or your Expedia Account Manager to inform them of your intentions as some actions may be required to perform on their end.
To deactivate an accommodation in Avantio's Channel Manager:
Go to Channel PRO in Avantio.
Scroll down to the Channel v1.0 tab and click Activate/Deactivate Accommodations.
Select the accommodation you want to deactivate and untick the box.
Click on Save to confirm the deactivation.
Reservation Confirmation Timeframes
Single rate connection - synchronized reservations must be confirmed within specific time limits:
Less than 48 hours before check-in
→ Expires after 2.5 hours after the reservation has been received.More than 48 hours before check-in
→ Expires after 24 hours after the reservation has been received.
After expiration:
Reservations are sent by fax or email
These bookings must be managed manually, as they will not be synchronized
