Roles and permissions: security and control for your team

When several people in your Company work with the system, not everyone needs access to the same information or actions. Assigning roles and permissions helps you maintain control: you protect sensitive data, reduce errors, and give each user exactly the tools they need for their daily work.

Why use roles and permissions?

  • Each person only sees and edits what corresponds to their position.

  • Confidential data remains restricted to authorized profiles.

  • Security is enhanced and accidental modifications are avoided.

You can assign one or several roles to the same user, depending on their job requirements.

Attention to detail

To create new profiles, you must have the Administrator role.

Create and manage users

Follow these steps to give access to a new user in Avantio:

  1. Log in to the VRMS.

  2. In the side menu, click Configuration, then Users.

  3. In the upper right corner, select Create.

  4. Fill in the required fields (marked with an asterisk) and, if desired, the optional ones.

  5. Tick the box Send connection details so the user automatically receives their password.

  6. Choose the user profiles (roles) from the User profiles dropdown menu.

  7. Click Save to finish.

Proper user configuration in Avantio through roles and permissions ensures security, efficiency, and control.

This way, each person only accesses what they need to perform their tasks, protecting your Company’s sensitive information and optimizing daily management.
