What is ISTAT data export
The National Institute of Statistics collects data related to the movement of customers in tourist accommodations (hotels and non-hotels) throughout the national territory.
Each month, accommodations must send a file with the data of all guests who have stayed, following the rules set by each region.

Attention to details: submission is only possible until the 5th of the following month. After this date, data from the previous month will no longer be accepted.
Required data
Each export must contain:
Complete guest data (first name, last name, date and place of birth, gender, address, identity document and number).
Check-in and check-out dates.
Type of guest (individual, head of family, group leader).
Stay information (available rooms and beds, occupied rooms, tourist tax, type of tourism, means of transport).
👉 If a reservation covers two different months, it must be included in both.
Initial configuration
Access the accommodation file in Administrative Management.
Enter the ISTAT Apartment Code provided by your region's portal (it is different from the Questura ID).
Go to Export data > ISTAT > Configuration.
Set up the username and password for your regional portal. Multi-user: an additional option is available that allows you to set up an additional username and password and associate it with an accommodation or group of accommodations.
Create a new export
Go to Export data > ISTAT > New export.
Select New export.
Apply the necessary filters (accommodation, building/complex, check-in dates) and click the “next” button.
After clicking «Next», errors that need correction will be displayed.
Completed exports
All exports sent or downloaded remain available in the history under the Completed exports option.
In the list of completed exports, it will be possible to view the export date, the name of the export, and the status (whether it has been sent to the guest portal or not). From here, it is also possible to delete an export, download it, or send it.
Common errors
Confusing the ISTAT code with the Questura code: both must be entered, but they are different.
Uploading the .ZIP file directly without unzipping it: the regional platform will flag an error.
Not respecting the deadline of the 5th: the data will no longer be accepted.
