Step by Step: Activate an Accommodation

  1. Go to Channel PRO

  2. Access the Activation of Accommodations tab

  3. Switch to Airbnb on the Menu

  4. You will see the list of active properties in Avantio (VRMS). Select the accommodation you want to publish.

  5. Click the activation button and fill in the fields:

    • Type of synchronisation: choose between partial or full

    • Associated account: if you have more than one Airbnb account associated in ChannelPRO, select the account you want to sync the accommodation with

    • Type of listing: create a new listing or link the property to an existing one. If you select this second option, you will see in Associated listings all existing Airbnb listings that are assigned to the previously selected account

  6. Click Accept to activate your property

When you activate a property, the default settings you previously configured during the portal connection are automatically applied to that accommodation. If you wish to adjust these settings for specific accommodations, you can do so from the configuration menu of each individual property.

In the menu for each property, you will also find the option to add the Minimum nights stay required by Airbnb for properties subject to regulatory restrictions.

If no restrictions apply in your area, you don’t need to change anything. Simply keep the default setting (0 nights).

Important Tip: To re-apply the default settings of the portal configuration, click on the "Use company settings" icon:

Step by Step: Deactivate an Accommodation

  1. Access the "Activation of accommodations" tab

  2. Switch to Airbnb on the Menu

  3. Click on the activation/deactivation button to start the deactivation

  4. You will now need to indicate to Airbnb the reason for the deactivation. The system will show you a dropdown with reasons and sub-reasons (example: "My space is not available" > "I'm moving").

  5. When you select "Other reasons," a text field will open for you to explain them

  6. Click on disconnect to confirm

IMPORTANT

When you deactivate a property, synchronisation stops and the listing is unpublished from Airbnb. Additionally, Avantio will no longer appear as software connected to the API, meaning you can manage the listing manually on Airbnb if you wish.

Change the Association of a Property

Did you activate an accommodation with the wrong ID? No problem:

  • Deactivate the accommodation first and then re-activate it selecting the correct Airbnb listing to associate.

Remember that the previous listing will remain published on Airbnb, but it will no longer be updated from Avantio. You will need to deactivate or delete it directly on Airbnb.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between partial and full synchronisation?

In partial synchronisation, you manage prices, availability, and bookings from Avantio, but keep the listing configuration on Airbnb. In full synchronisation, Avantio controls all the listing information.

Can I change the type of synchronisation later?

Yes, you can do it at any time from the accommodation configuration.

What happens to a listing when deactivated?

Synchronisation stops and it is unpublished from Airbnb. If you want to delete it permanently, you must do so from your Airbnb account.

Do I always have to justify the deactivation?

Yes, it is mandatory to indicate a reason and sub-reason.

What happens if I associate an accommodation with the wrong ID?

You can change the association to another ID or create a new listing. The previous one will remain visible on Airbnb, but it will no longer be updated from Avantio.
