Build trust with a precise location

Placing your accommodation accurately on the map isn’t just a technical detail — it builds confidence among guests who want to arrive without complications and ensures smooth synchronization with booking portals.

Imagine the peace of mind of knowing no one will get lost due to an incorrect address: in the end, it saves you last-minute calls and strengthens your reputation.

Why a precise location matters

A correctly configured address prevents synchronization errors with external platforms and improves your property’s visibility.

If you indicate that keys are collected or delivered at the same location, having an exact position is essential to avoid confusion.

How to set your accommodation’s location step by step

Follow these steps to make sure everything is configured properly. The process is simple but requires careful attention to detail:

  1. Enter edit mode for your accommodation and review the address entered.

  2. Go to VRMS → Accommodations → Short-term Rentals → Property list.

  3. Locate the accommodation and click on it to open the side window.

  4. Click Edit.

  5. Go to the Accommodation location section.

  6. If the address is not automatically positioned correctly, try adjusting the fields (for example, modify the street number or name).

  7. If the map still doesn’t position it properly, manually drag the accommodation icon to the correct spot — this is especially useful for rural areas or unusual addresses.

  8. Alternatively, enable the Set coordinates option to enter latitude and longitude manually.

  9. Make sure to include the full address: street type, name, number, postal code, and other relevant details. This minimizes synchronization issues.

Common mistakes

  • Mixing information in a single field — for example, writing “Calle Trinitarios 7, Valencia” in the street name field instead of separating street type and name.

  • Omitting the postal code or other important details, which can cause confusion and synchronization issues with external portals.

Useful tip

If you manage multiple properties, use tools like Google Maps to obtain precise coordinates before entering them into the system. This saves time and improves accuracy.

Frequently asked questions

What if the address isn’t located automatically?

You can adjust it manually by dragging the accommodation icon on the map or entering the coordinates directly. It also helps to test variations in the address fields to find the correct match.

Is it mandatory to use coordinates?

No, it’s not mandatory, but it’s a great alternative if the address fails to locate properly. Just make sure the coordinates are precise to avoid misplacement.

Why is the address still important if the keys are collected at the accommodation itself?

Because guests need an exact location to find your property. An incorrect address can cause delays or unnecessary frustration.

How can I avoid mistakes when setting the address?

Separate the information into the appropriate fields (street type, name, number, etc.) and always include the postal code to ensure optimal synchronization.

Can I change the location after saving it?

Yes, you can return to edit mode at any time and make adjustments as needed. However, note that these changes might not always be reflected automatically on connected portals.
