Simplify Your Operations and Gain Payment Flexibility

Payment management can become complex when an agency operates in several countries or needs to work with different banks and payment gateways. To meet these needs, Avantio offers the Multi-Gateway feature, which allows you to connect multiple payment providers in the same system and assign them strategically to each property.

Main Benefits

Property-based management: connect several accounts from the same payment platform to VRMS and choose the most suitable connection for each property.

International operations: ideal for businesses operating in different countries where not all gateways are available. You can connect two or more gateways and assign each one to the corresponding properties.

Configuration in Avantio Payments

Avantio allows the integration of multiple payment gateways to suit each business’s needs.

The integration process follows the same steps as any other platform already connected:

  1. Contact the payment platform you wish to integrate and complete the required contract.

  2. Inform our Support team which new platform you want to work with.

  3. Our team will handle the integration. If specific credentials are required, we’ll let you know so you can request them directly from the platform.

Once the connection is complete, all integrated gateways will appear in the Avantio Payments module: VRMS → Configuration → Avantio Payments.

Configuration in Booking Conditions

After activating your payment gateways, you need to define the payment rules in your booking conditions based on each platform and property.

In this section, you can also assign the corresponding payment provider to each condition.

Steps for Configuration

  1. Go to VRMS → Bookings → Booking Conditions → List.

  2. Choose the condition you want to edit and click the pencil icon.

  3. In the section “How bookings are confirmed and paid”, under Step 1 “To book” (and any additional steps you define), go to “Payment method.”

  4. Select the payment methods available (e.g., credit card, Google Pay, PayPal, etc.).

  5. For each payment method, indicate which connected payment platform will act as the provider (e.g., Stripe or Planet).

This ensures that each booking condition is linked to the appropriate gateway, guaranteeing that payments are processed according to your configured rules.

Assigning Payment Platforms

  • Each property can only be linked to one payment platform at a time.
It is not possible to switch between gateways depending on the payment.

    • Example: if the first payment is processed through Stripe, all subsequent payments will automatically use the same gateway, even if another rule is associated with the property.

    • Exception: if the initial gateway becomes unavailable (e.g., after a platform change), the card must be re-tokenized with the new active gateway.

Bookings and Payment Breakdown

  • Bookings with an associated card: if a booking already has a registered card, the payment provider cannot be modified.

  • Manual or website bookings: in these cases, the provider used will be the one defined in the booking conditions.

To review the payment breakdown, go to: VRMS → Bookings → Booking List and open the relevant booking.

Multi-Gateway Compatibility

The Multi-Gateway feature is available only for integrated platforms and in specific cases.

Before requesting the connection, review the compatibility chart:

  • Planet: Not compatible (only available for different companies or legal entities).

  • Stripe: Compatible.
