Improving Compatibility of Discounts and Supplements with Airbnb

Understand discount and surcharge settings compatible with Airbnb and requirements for synchronization.

Written by Sofía

For last-minute and early bird discounts and supplements to sync with the Airbnb portal, they must be set up from the “Discounts and Supplements” section in Channel PRO.

More information about configuring discounts and supplements in Channel PRO can be found here.

The Airbnb portal does not take into account the minimum stay set in the discount and supplement rule, so these types of discounts should be set up as shown below, with the number of nights set to 0.
Please refer to the table for important notes regarding last-minute discounts.

*Keep in mind that the number of nights field is set to 0. This way, the discount will sync as a “20% discount for bookings made within 7 nights before the check-in date” and will use the minimum stay you have set in the VRMS.

This table shows the compatible discounts and supplements that will now sync when connected through Channel PRO.
The conditions shown below are compatible depending on the Airbnb pricing model you are using.

Important

If you do not want to sync last-minute and early bird discounts/supplements with this portal, simply do not create a specific rule for Airbnb in Channel PRO.
You can also use the discounts/supplements option in Channel PRO to set up only those you want to sync with Airbnb. It is also possible to block the sending of discounts and supplements from VRMS and Channel PRO. For more information, you can read this guide under the section "How to Manage Exclusions".
