Discounts and how to configure them in Avantio

Applying discounts is an effective way to increase visibility, attract more bookings, and fill gaps in your calendar. A pricing strategy not only helps improve your ranking, but also makes your listing stand out in a competitive market.

⚠️ Please note that this is a strategy focused on Airbnb, but when activating a discount in the VRMS, it will be applied to all channels. If you wish to exclude certain channels, please refer to this guide.

💡 Did you know that weekly and monthly discounts are the only discounts synchronized from the VRMS to Airbnb that are reflected as real price reductions?

For this reason, Airbnb highlights these discounts, helping to increase your listing’s visibility and conversion potential. Be strategic and make sure to add them to your listings to maximize performance.

Important: Make sure your rate type is set to nightly pricing; otherwise, these discounts will not be displayed as mentioned.

Highly recommended discount options (choose at least one):

Weekly discount 🌙

The weekly discount automatically applies a percentage reduction to stays of at least 7 nights — a simple strategy to encourage longer bookings.

But why activate this discount?

  • In 2025, listings with a weekly discount recorded approximately 3.5% higher annual gross booking value compared to listings without a weekly discount.

  • Approximately 15% of all nights booked on Airbnb worldwide in 2025 included a weekly discount.

  • In 2025, Airbnb bookings worldwide that included a weekly discount had approximately 2.8 times more nights per booking compared to those without a weekly discount.

Tips:

  • Ideal for filling midweek gaps or awkward spaces in the calendar between shorter bookings.

  • Perfect for properties with high turnover costs: fewer changeovers mean less cleaning and fewer disruptions.

  • Make sure your weekly rate looks like a “great deal” compared to 7 times your nightly price — but not so low that it reduces your margins.

Monthly discount 📅

A monthly discount offers a percentage reduction for stays of 28 nights or more. It is a highly effective tool for attracting long-term guests, especially during low or off-season periods.

But why activate this discount?

  • In 2025, listings with a monthly discount recorded approximately 2.6% higher annual gross booking value compared to listings without a monthly discount.

  • Approximately 70% of all monthly stays (28 nights or more) on Airbnb worldwide in 2025 were booked with a monthly discount.

  • In 2025, Airbnb bookings worldwide that included a monthly discount were, on average, 12% longer than those without a monthly discount.

Tips:

  • Use it strategically during slower periods to increase occupancy.

  • Ideal for attracting digital nomads and extended-stay guests, especially in locations with steady work or business demand.

  • One long stay with a single check-in and cleaning can be more profitable (and less stressful!) than four busy weekends.
