Activate the Early Booking Promotion on Booking.com from Channel PRO

This promotion attracts travelers looking to book well in advance. This discount is very useful for securing future bookings and is flexible, as you can apply it to specific seasons based on your particular needs. Booking.com recommends setting up this promotion with a minimum of 30 days before the check-in date.

Start by setting up the discount

To sync the promotion, you first need to create the early booking discount. You can set up this discount from two different sections:

Option 1: Configuration in VRMS

This configuration will apply to all portals that support this type of discount, including your own Web:

  1. Go to the Revenue section

  2. Enter Discounts and Supplements

  3. Create a new discount by choosing the option “Early booking discount X days before check-in date”

  4. Set the discount as a % percentage.

  5. Set the minimum advance booking condition: bookings made up to X days before the check-in date.

  6. Set a minimum stay between 2 and 7 nights. If you set more than 7 nights, Booking.com will treat it as a new rate plan, not as a promotion.

It's important to note that this promotion is only compatible when set as an early booking discount for bookings made X days before check-in and not bookings made before (dd/mm/yyyy).

Option 2: Configuration in Channel PRO

This configuration will apply only to Booking:

  1. Go to Channel PRO

  2. Enter the Discounts and Supplements section under Price Modifiers

  3. Create a new rule

  4. Choose to apply the rule to the Booking portal

  5. Select the type “Discount for bookings made up to X days before the check-in date”

  6. Set the discount as a % percentage.

  7. Set the number of days before the check-in date condition

  8. Set a minimum stay between 2 and 7 nights. If you set more than 7 nights, Booking.com will treat it as a new rate plan, not as a promotion.

Activate synchronization with Booking.com from Channel PRO

Once the discount is set up, you need to activate it on Booking:

  1. Go to Channel PRO.

  2. Find the Booking.com portal

  3. Enter the General Configuration.

  4. Look for Early Booking

  5. Choose how you want to sync the discount:

    • As a promotion (recommended).

    • As a rate.

    • Do not sync.

  6. Click Save. The promotion will be created automatically and will appear in the Promotions section of the Booking.com extranet.

Understand when the discount is shown

The discount will automatically appear in the Promotions section of the Booking extranet as follows:

The discount will automatically appear when a guest searches with the minimum advance booking period defined in your promotion.

Remember:

Promotions created from Channel PRO will only apply to the standard rate and the general cancellation policy.
