What is synchronized with Booking.com in the Single Rate connection?

With the Single Rate connection, Avantio sends the basic and essential information needed to manage your bookings. This includes:

  • Prices per accommodation

  • Availability

  • Minimum stay

  • Allowed check-in and check-out dates

  • Bookings

  • Cancellations

  • Modifications to existing bookings


What is not synchronized with Booking.com in the Single Rate connection?

There is some information that does not automatically transfer from Avantio to Booking.com and must be added or updated manually in the portal's extranet:

  • Accommodation photos

  • Property descriptions

  • Property features and amenities

  • Extras

Accommodation photos, descriptions, features, and extras must be entered manually in the Booking.com extranet.


Discounts and supplements with the Single Rate connection

Long-term stay discounts or short-term stay supplements based on the number of nights booked will not be synchronized automatically. Only a single rate (usually the standard one) will be synchronized, and all other rate plans must be created manually in Booking.com.

Simple percentage discounts entered in the Avantio VRMS will be synchronized. For example, a 10% discount for bookings made between 02/01 and 03/31. However, discounts or supplements expressed in Euros/GBP/USD etc. are not supported.

It is not possible to synchronize supplements for additional guests from Avantio to Booking.com. However, these supplements can be created in the portal's extranet.

What happens if I set a fixed amount discount in Avantio?
It will not be synchronized. Only percentage-based discounts are synchronized.

Can I manage multiple rate plans from Avantio in Single Rate?
No. Only one rate is synchronized. Other rate plans must be created in the Booking.com extranet.

Are supplements for additional guests synchronized?
No. These supplements must be set up directly in Booking.com.

What about my property photos or descriptions?
These are not synchronized either. You will always need to manage them from the extranet.

What are the benefits of upgrading to the Content API connection?
The Content API connection greatly expands what is synchronized (photos, descriptions, features, extras, promotions, etc.), reducing manual work.
