Cancellations

Technical cancellation process

The CHECK24 connection with Avantio ensures a transparent and automated process for managing cancellations.

Guest cancellation
If a customer cancels their booking directly through the CHECK24 platform, the cancellation is automatically sent to Avantio and updated in the VRMS.
Property Manager cancellation
If the Property Manager cancels a booking, the cancellation must be initiated directly in Avantio and will be updated in CHECK24.

Exceptions and manual cases

For cases outside the standard process, the CHECK24 Customer Service team is notified whenever a provider cancels a booking. This ensures that all affected customers are informed quickly and correctly.

Cancellation policies

Each Property Manager can define and apply their own cancellation policies on CHECK24. This information is taken from the cancellation policy set up in the VRMS.

CHECK24 encourages Property Managers to offer flexible or free cancellation options during certain periods to increase visibility and conversion.
