Enable the booking-date view and make decisions with more precise data
In the competitive vacation-rental market, anticipating demand and adjusting prices in real time can make the difference between an excellent year and an average one. With this goal in mind, Avantio introduces Performance Dashboard V2, a key update to your analytics tool that brings a new way to visualize and understand data: the view based on the booking date.
This functionality is designed so that Property Managers (PM) and Revenue Managers gain a richer and more accurate perspective on sales performance, complementing the traditional view based on the stay date.
What the new view brings
A new way to measure and understand your bookings
Performance Dashboard V2 expands the capabilities of the current “Avantio Revenue Manager” panel with a view focused on the booking date (also called creation date). This improvement allows you to analyze key metrics linked to booking pace, purchase anticipation, and the effectiveness of pricing strategies.
Instead of limiting analysis to when the stay will happen, this view focuses on when the booking was generated, offering a truer picture of demand evolution and guest purchasing behavior.
More information for better decisions
Until now, the dashboard only allowed data analysis by stay date, which left out a crucial angle: when sales were finalized. With the new view, PMs will be able to:
Closely track how bookings behave over time.
Measure the real impact of their pricing adjustments and promotions.
Improve Occupancy and Revenue forecasting, based on actual purchase data.
The ultimate goal is to optimize your pricing strategy and make strategic decisions with more complete data.
Availability and access
Unrestricted availability for Performance Dashboard users
This update is available to all profiles that already use Performance Dashboard in the Revenue tab of Avantio: administrators and revenue managers.
It does not matter whether rates are compatible or deprecated: all PMs will have access to this new view.
Integrated into the dashboard you already know
The new functionality requires no additional installation. It is located within the current Performance Dashboard, in the Revenue tab.
Users can easily switch between the stay date view and the booking date view using a switch in the interface.
How it works
Fast view switching and smart filters
Switch between views
By default, the panel shows the stay-date view, but users can switch to booking date with a single click.
Persistent filters
Accommodations: the system keeps the selected accommodations when changing views.
Dates: in the booking-date view you can only choose past dates, from today backwards, since future bookings cannot be known. If future dates are selected in the stay-date view, the system will reset them to default values when switching.
KPIs and visualizations
Adapted KPIs: the indicators from the stay-date view are maintained, except Occupancy and RevPAN, which do not apply here.
A new KPI is added: “Quantity of bookings”, which shows the total number of bookings created in the selected period (except those marked as “Not available”).
Trend visuals: the charts display KPI evolution over time, comparing the current period with the same period of the previous year.
Booking-status configuration
The system allows you to choose which statuses are included in the KPIs, adapting the dashboard to your business reality. The available statuses are:
Pre-booking
Confirmed
Cancelled
Under Request
Owner booking
Not available
Paid
Warranty
To save the configuration, you must have at least one status selected.
Consejo útil
If you combine this view with your historical data by stay date, you get a dual read of the business:
Booking date → how demand behaves over time.
Stay date → how those bookings materialize into Occupancy and Revenue.
This combination is “pure gold” for designing campaigns and adjusting prices.
Impact on your strategy
Performance Dashboard V2 is not just a cosmetic update: it is a new way to read your business. It lets you move from a reactive to a proactive view, understanding not only what you have booked, but also when and how each sale occurred.
In the world of Revenue Management, where anticipation is key, this tool becomes an indispensable ally for any property manager who wants to optimize their strategy and maximize profits.
