What can you configure?

From Channel PRO, you’ll be able to set:

  1. The maximum occupancy for adults

  2. The maximum occupancy for children

  3. The maximum number of paying children

The maximum occupancy of the accommodation is still set in the VRMS. You won’t be able to change this from Channel PRO, but you can view this information in Channel PRO for each accommodation.

Keep in mind that the maximum occupancy for adults and children will only be synced to Booking.com if you have a full connection.

If you have a partial connection, this information won’t be synced, but it will be taken into account when generating and sending rates to the portal.

Step by step: How to set it up

General activation

When you add information about maximum occupancy from Channel PRO, any settings you’ve added in the VRMS will no longer be used.

To use this feature, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Channel PRO and click on the Portals tab on the left side of the page

  2. Click the Configure button in the Booking.com section

  3. When the menu expands, scroll down to the maximum occupancy settings

Step by step: Set up by accommodation

Once this feature is enabled from the General Configuration section:

  1. Click on the Accommodations Activation tab

  2. Select an accommodation that is active (Published status)

  3. When the menu expands, scroll down to the maximum occupancy settings

  4. Click the pencil icon to edit the information

Pay attention to the details

  • The maximum occupancy for adults cannot exceed the total capacity (adults + children).

  • The maximum number of children must be less than the total capacity.

  • The number of children cannot be greater than the maximum occupancy for adults.

  • The maximum number of paying children cannot exceed the maximum occupancy for children.

  • The sum of adults and children must be equal to or greater than the maximum occupancy of the accommodation set in the VRMS.

👉 Remember: the total capacity of the accommodation is still set in the VRMS and is only shown in Channel PRO for reference.
